NDP Set to Nominate Candidate in Nechako-Lakes

Fort St James, B.C. – Nak’azdli Whut’en councillor Anne Marie Sam will carry the NDP banner into this spring’s provincial election in Nechako-Lakes.
The party will make it official at a nomination meeting scheduled for next Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Old Courthouse in Fort St James.
Sam will be up against Liberal incumbent and Minister of Aboriginal Relations and Reconciliation John Rustad.
The only other declared candidate in the riding is Jon Rempel of the BC Libertarian Party.
The election is scheduled for May 9.
