Quesnel, B.C. – One motorist was lucky to escape with only minor injuries after colliding with a semi truck in downtown Quesnel this morning.

Sgt. Chris Riddle says it happened just after 7:30 when a southbound car collided with a westbound semi truck at the corner of Carson Avenue and Kinchant Street.

He says the driver of the car was taken to hospital with minor injuries while the driver of the semi was uninjured.

The collision closed one lane of Carson Avenue for about 45 minutes while crews cleared the scene.

The investigation is ongoing. In the meantime, witnesses are encouraged to call police at 250-992-9211.
