Cariboo Cougars Face Cape Breton Tonight
Prince George, B.C.- The Cariboo Cougars are back on the ice this evening to face the Cape Breton West Islanders at the Telus Cup.
This is day three of the tournament and the Cariboo Cougars have one loss and a tie so far, having tied the Regina Pat Canadians in yesterdays action.
“It’s good that we’re on the board now with the tie and we’ll take it” says Cariboo Cougars head coach Trevor Sprague. “All of our lines get a lot of ice time, but by scoring chances the (Tyler) Maser line get the most and they’ve done well with that. They play a big game and when you go out and play a big game, a power game, you’re going to get results.”
Action today at the CN Centre will see :
- Leduc Oil Kings vs./c. Mississauga Rebels, at noon
- Blizzard du Séminaire Saint-François vs./c. Regina Pat Canadians, at 4 pm. and
- Cariboo Cougars vs./c. Cape Breton West Islanders, at 7:30 pm,
In the first two days of competition, the Cape Breton West Islanders and the Mississauga Rebels are tied in the standings, each with two wins.
