Prince George, B.C. – Today’s document shredding event in the Walmart parking lot isn’t over yet but organizers have already deemed it a success.

Organized by the Prince George Crime Stoppers Society, residents can drop off their documents for a $5 donation and do their part to prevent identity theft.

According to staff on scene, there’s been a steady stream off folks dropping off their documents since things got started at 10 a.m.

All proceeds will go back to the Society. It runs until 2 this afternoon.

Wonderful idea.
But,
Let us just get this straight, if they are saying a $5 dollar donation it isn’t a donation, it is a FEE
though it is a reasonable fee for peace of mind.

Donation….fee…. worthwhile project

Only improvement I could think of is if they parked in the corner of the lot and had the donation table next to them, instead of truck parked in middle of busy parking lot and then people had to run across the road to make a donation..
