Blaze East of Queensway – Update

Prince George, B.C. – Prince George Fire Rescue says a boat and a number of vehicles were inside a building that caught fire this morning.

Assistant Chief Denis Poulin says firefighters responded to a structure fire in the 800 block of Lower Patricia Blvd at about 6:40 this morning.

A total of 15 firefighters from three halls were dispatched to the scene.

On arrival crews found heavy smoke coming from a mechanical bay which had several vehicles and a boat in it. The boat was fully involved with flames but crews extinguished the fire quickly.

There were no injuries to firefighters and the shop was vacant at the time of the incident.

Fire cause and damage estimate is unknown.  The incident is still under investigation.
