Wednesday, May 17, 2017 @ 4:22 PM

Fort St. John, B.C. – The River Forecast Centre has ended the flood watch and high streamflow advisories for the Beatton River, Moberly River and Peace River.

“River levels through the region have been declining,” in a statement from the Peace River Regional District. “Weather conditions are favourable for continued improvement of river levels throughout the region through the week.”

Yesterday, the River Forecast Centre ended the high streamflow advisory for the Bulkley River, including small streams and tributaries around Houston, Telkwa, Smithers and surrounding areas.

Peak levels on rivers through the region occurred over the weekend in response to heavy rain last week.
