Prince George, B.C. – A fundraising drive is underway aimed at raising money for Foundry Prince George – a one-stop-shop for young people to easily access health and social services.
The Robert L. Conconi Foundation is matching all donations to the YMCA of Northern BC – up to $25,000 until May 31, 2017.
Foundry Prince George will be hosted by the YMCA of Northern BC and is located across from City Hall on Seventh Avenue.
It is one of a province-wide network of youth centres helping to remove barriers and increasing access to care.
The Y says all money raised will go towards the Y’s Capital and Innovation Fund. Construction of the building is underway and work is expected to be completed late this summer. You can donate by clicking here.
“We are excited to be a part of this partnership to provide earlier intervention,” says Amanda Alexander, CEO of the YMCA of Northern BC.
“At Foundry, our health and social service partners will provide young people ages 12-24 as many of the supports and services that they need all under one roof.
“We are incredibly grateful for the Conconi Foundation matching all donations. We are asking the community to rally support during this unique opportunity to allow maximum support.”
