Foothills Reopens

Prince George, B.C. – The Foothills Landfill in Prince George has reopened.

The site was closed this morning when there  were concerns potentially hazardous materials were being  received  at the Landfill.   The landfill was closed  until the  situation could be fully assessed.

It has now  been determined that there was no  significant risk, and  landfill operations have resumed and the site reopened.

I heard on CBC radio that some dangerous cancer treatment drugs are missing from the hospital, it was thought that they ended up at the garbage dump.
