Prince George, B.C.- Highway 97 north,  approaching Wright Creek Road  is closed following a serious collision.

A two  vehicle crash that  occurred  around 2 this afternoon has resulted in at least one person being sent to hospital.

Hydro lines are down,  and there is no word on when BC Hydro will be on scene to  safely  clear the road way.

While  witnesses tell 250News one of the vehicles  slid  for several hundred  feet, it remained upright and the driver was not injured.   The second vehicle in this  incident is in the  ditch  on the  east side of the highway.  Condition of its occupants are  not yet known.
