Prince George, B.C.-  About 313  BC Hydro customers in the  Salmon Valley area are without power   as the result of a  serious crash on highway 97 north  this afternoon.

The crash,  which occurred  just north of Johnson’s farm  near  Wright Creek Road,  sent three people to hospital with undetermined injuries.

The collision  resulted  in one vehicle  going off  highway and  hitting a power pole, which   pulled down  wires.

B.C. Hydro crews were  expected to arrive on scene around 3:30 this afternoon.

There is no estimate on  when repairs  to the line may be complete.

In the meantime, the  highway remains closed until the repairs can be made.
