Watering Ban Reminder
Prince George, B.C. – As of noon today, irrigating lawns or gardens in Prince George is a no-no, unless you are using a watering can or hand held hose with nozzle.
The City’s ban kicks in at noon and will last until Friday evening, as construction on linking two main wells wraps up.
The wells at Fish Trap Island and Wilson Park are being linked to ensure there is adequate water supply for the City in the event one well or pumphouse develops problems.
The project has been underway for about a year, and installing the final connection is the last step.
The City may still be watering its own sport fields and gardens as they cannot be done by hand. Properties with their own wells are exempt from the watering restrictions as they are not on the City Water system.
Those found in contravention of the ban, could be facing a fine of $100.00

FIRST, bylaws has to get out of the office to write tickets and if the person they are ticketing gets loud or heaven forbid says a bad word they will probably be off on stress for months.
I think this is just a huge feel good action with no teeth.
couldn’t city hold off on watering to a week just like they expect everyone else too?
