Prince George, B.C. – Summer is off to a great start for Melinda Voss of Prince George.
This after she discovered she won $500,000 on one of the promotional Bonus Prizes available on the Daily Grand Draw June 8, 2017.
She had the choice of taking a prize of $25,000-a-year for life or a lump sum of $500,000 and took the lump sum to help her family right away.
To say she was surprised is an understatement.
“I screamed and started yelling ‘Oh My God! Oh My God,’” laughed Voss. “Even my golden retriever started to get excited because I kept yelling ‘Oh my God!’”
The winning ticket was purchased at Foothills Foods.
Voss is the second Prince George resident to win big in the past three weeks. On May 30, another city resident picked up $1 million playing the Lotto Max.
That ticket was purchased at the Save-On-Foods in the Hart.

Awesome news, you deserve it! Couldn’t have happened to a better person :)
I know this woman from somewhere but can’t place her. I do remember that she was always nice when I dealt with her though. Congrats! Enjoy being debt free :)
Congratulations. This is a good news story.
