Mounties Nab Suspected Prolific Offender
Williams Lake, B.C. – Williams Lake RCMP have arrested a man wanted on eight outstanding warrants.
Mounties picked up 21-year-old Lane Don Cooper at 10 last night. He was wanted for several offences which included possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, carrying a concealed weapon, driving while disqualified and failure to comply with a probation order.
“The arrest occurred after members of the Cariboo Crime Reduction Unit received information that Cooper had been staying at a residence in the area of 2nd Avenue North,” says Cst. Andrew Waters.
“Members from the Cariboo Crime Reduction Unit were assisted by members from the General Investigation Section and General Duty.”
Cooper was wanted on multijurisdictional warrants and is in custody. He’s the second suspected prolific offender to be arrested in Williams Lake this week.
