Prince George, B.C. – The BC Wildfire Service is busy battling a three-hectare blaze just west of Prince George.
“Late yesterday evening the BC Wildfire Service did respond to a wildfire burning about 10 kilometres west of Reid Lake and about 21 kilometres west of Prince George,” says fire information officer Ryan Turcot. “At this point we do have it 70 per cent contained and we are considering this fire as being held.”
He says seven firefighters as well as support from heavy equipment is on scene. Turcot adds the public is not at risk and no structures have been lost.
He says the cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
