Prince George, B.C. – The amount of money raised by this year’s 25th annual Relay for Life cancer fundraiser in Prince George continues to rise but there’s still some work to do to hold on to the title of number one Relay in Canada for the fourth consecutive year.

Relay for Life coordinator Aimee Cassie says the Prince George Relay has now raised $570,000 – $35,000 more than was announced at the finale of last month’s Relay.

However, she says Prince George “is facing some stiff competition from Toronto, whose Relay has now surpassed the $500,000 mark.”

If you’d like to help ensure Prince George finishes in top spot, Cassie says donations can still be made at the local Canadian Cancer Society office located at 1100 Alward Street, or online by clicking here.
