Crews Battling Fire in Beaverly

Prince George, B.c. – One family has been forced from its home  as crews battle a fire in Beaverly.

Crews from Beaverly Volunteer Fire Department, Pineview Volunteer Fire Department and a crew from BC Wildfire are on scene at a fire in the Beaverly area.

The fire is estimated to be 4 hectares.

As a result of the fire, residents from a property on Lamar Road have been evacuated.  At this point, no other evacuations are planned.

The regional District will be  providing updates on this situation.

I have family on Lamar Rd.. and further up McBride Timber Rd. south…was talking to them this evening and the fire is under control and in mop up stages…

I think they mean Larmar Rd off the McBride Timber Road

Poor job on keeping the community updated on this situation. Woke up this morning thinking how did these people sleep knowing they might have to evacuate on a moments notice. Not a very good feeling for them or the rest of PG waking up to the smell of smoke and haze. The community deserves better! Especially after all the fires and tragedy that have BC residents stressed out already.
