Prince George, B.C. – Chief Fire Information Officer  with the B.C. Wildfire Service, Kevin Skrepnek, says there are 230 fires raging in the province  right now.

He says 98 of those fires were sparked  yesterday, most sparked by  dry  lightning.

Additional resources are  preparing to come to  B.C.   with  a little more than 300  expected to arrive early in the week.  Skrepnek says the Province has been in conversation with the Federal Government  in the event the military  needs to be called in.
