Nearly 5,000 Evacuees in Prince George

Prince George, B.C. – As of last evening, there are now just under 5,000 wildfire evacuees who have registered in Prince George.
4,948 (3,963 adults and 985 children have registered at the Evacuation centre at the College of New Caledonia..
Not all are staying in group lodging. Latest numbers from the City indicate 428 are in group lodging, as 470 are in RV parking, 2403 have found alternate accommodation, 484 are staying in hotels or other commercial lodging.
So far, the City has distributed about $373 thousand in grocery vouchers.
The evacuation alert remains in effect in Wiliams Lake.
