More Arrive in Prince George

Prince George, B.C. – There are now, 6,247  evacuees in Prince George.

Latest numbers from last night  have 528 staying in group lodging.   3185 have  found  alternate accommodation,    another 669  are staying in RVs, and  581  are staying in commercial  lodging.

Of  those   arriving in Prince George and who have registered   at the College of New Caledonia,  1254  are children,  the balance, 4993  are adults.

There has been no change in the evacuation alert in Williams Lake.   The situation remains stable,  although  that community is blanketed in a thick layer of smoke.   Wildfire Service B.C.  has   said tomorrow  will  tell the tale as  a cold font  is set to make its way through  the community and it may bring  high winds that could fan the flames.
