Williams Lake, B.C. – The Cariboo Regional District has issued an evacuation alert for  Gang Ranch area  east  to Helena Lake Road.

The Evacuation Alert is in effect for the following areas:

• Southeast of Alex Lake from the existing “Big Creek East to Fraser River” Evacuation Order area to the Cariboo Regional District southern boundary;
• Northeast to the existing “Gustafson North FSR” Evacuation Order area at Helena Lake; North to the existing “Williams Lake Fringe to Fraser River” Evacuation Alert area
• Including the communities of Gang Ranch, Alkali Lake, Dog Creek, and Canoe Creek; and Enterprise Road, and portions of Dog Creek Road not already under alert.

The evacuation route is: Farwell Canyon Road to Gaspard FSR, South to Gang Ranch Road to Dog Creek, then to Williams Lake.

DO NOT evacuate north through Fletcher Lake and Hanceville.
