New Additions to Cottonwood Island Park
Prince George, B.C.- Cottonwood Island Park has become home to new attractions, as someone has been placing painted stones in the park. While one side of the stones has been adorned with colourful paint or images, the message on the other side is simple “P.G. Rocks”
Given the efforts by all who have been volunteering, and to companies and organizations which have stepped up to assist the wildfire evacuees who are staying in Prince George, that message seems more than fitting.
The brightly painted stones have been placed in a number of areas of the park for visitors to discover.
The Park is already home to carvings in the trees, a little spruce tree that has been decorated to celebrate upcoming holidays and special days, and the development of a fairy/gnome community .
The identity of the rock painters is not known.

The Smile rock is mine 😊 My grandchildren and I love to paint them and then set them out for people to find to put a smile on some faces
