New Evacuation Order and Alert
Williams Lake, B.C. – The Cariboo Regional District has issued an immediate evacuation order for the Clisbako area.
This order expands and replaces the one issued on July 15th.
Due to immediate danger to life safety due to fire, members of the RCMP or other groups will be expediting this action.
The Evacuation Order is in effect for the following area:
- 4 km west of Marmot Lake; Southerly along the Nazko and Clisbako Rivers maintaining a 4 km buffer for a distance of 20 km; West along the Clisbako River to Canyon Mountain; Northerly for 9 km; Northeast for 32 km to Marmot Lake.

The evacuation route is: Blackwater Road to Quesnel where evacuees are to register at the ESS Reception Centre at 500 North Star Road.
The CRD has also expanded the evacuation alert for the BlackwaterRiver area. This alert is replacing the alert issued for the Kluskus Area on July 16, 2017.
Because of the potential danger to life and health, the Cariboo Regional District has issued an Evacuation Alert for the following areas:
- 4 km West of the Nazko River following the Blackwater River ; West to the east boundary of Tsacha Lake; Southeast to 7 km Southeast of Toil Mountain; Northeast for 32 km to 4 km west of Marmot Lake; Northerly to the Blackwater River maintaining a 4 km buffer to the Nazko River.

Residents will be given as much advance notice as possible prior to evacuation; however you may receive limited notice due to changing conditions.

Help me on this one. There are what 500-1000 men on the fire scene, fire trucks, water canons helicopters and water bombers scooping water off lakes and here is a family that saved their home with a garden hose.
