Williams Lake, B.C. – The Cariboo Regional District has issued an expanded evacuation order for the Kluskus, Blackwater and Clisbako area – an area about 100 kilometres west of Quesnel.

In addition to that, the CRD has issued an adjacent expanded evacuation alert for the Nazko, Tatelkuz and Batnuni area. These are expansions of the order and alert issued for the area July 30.

Because of the danger, members of the RCMP or other groups will be expediting the evacuation.

The evacuation route is along the Blue Kluskus Forest Service Road to Kluskus Forest Service Road to Highway 16 into Prince George.

Residents on evacuation alert are asked to be prepared to evacuate your home or property if required.
