Prince George, B.C. – A 35 year old man has now been officially charged in relation to two  attempted child abductions in Prince George. (see previous story)35 year old Kenneth Jim John of Prince George,  originally from Ft. St. James,  has been  charged with :

• 2 counts of kidnapping
• assault
• obstructing a  Peace Officer.

The charges  come in the wake of  two incidents yesterday in which  a man  tried to grab a child away from its mother.   One incident happened on the area of 12th and Harper Street,  the other  near 8th and Gillette.   The suspect was not successful in  either of the incidents.

Prince George RCMP are  still hoping anyone who may have witnessed either of these incidents,  or who may have  surveillance  video  to contact them at 250-561-3300
