Dr. Malgorzata Kaminska, NMP assistant professor and local family physician, is organizing the new school and says it will give participants the chance to learn about basic sciences, research and much more.
“If you ever wanted to get a taste of medical school, without the long hours and ten-plus years of commitment, this is your chance!”
Registration for the six-week program costs just $30. To learn more or to register, click here.
According to the NMP, the first mini med school in Canada was started at McGill University in 2003.
Since that time similar mini med schools have sprung up at Dalhousie, McMaster and UBC.
