Thursday, August 31, 2017 @ 10:23 AM

Prince George, B.C.-  Police are continuing to investigate after a man drove a vehicle into  the Rolling Mix Arena early this morning.

Around 1:00 this morning, Prince George RCMP responded to a report that a  vehicle had slammed into the Patricia Boulevard side  of the arena .

Officers attended and located a pick-up truck , but the driver had fled the scene.

An intoxicated male suspect believed to be the driver was located a few blocks away on Dominion Street.

The 22 year old Kamloops resident was transported to hospital for treatment of minor injuries and then released into police custody as part of an investigation into impaired driving.

The suspect was transported to the Detachment where Police  say he provided two breath samples of more than twice the legal limit. He was released on a Promise to Appear for court later this fall.

Released on a promise to appear? How about not getting drunk and driving around town at 1 in the morning. Slap his hand and call it a day. Lucky he hit a building and not some poor sap driving to his or her shift.

He will beat the impaired charge, all he has to do is claim he guzzled a few beers after the crash while walking down the street. Not saying it is right, I am just saying what will probably be the outcome.

Eye for an eye, lets run a vehicle into their old barn next!
