Prince George, B.C. – A McLeod Lake couple has  half a million  reasons to celebrate.

Victor and Beverly Chingee  held a winning “Extra”  number on their lotto 6/49 ticket for the  September 16th draw.

They were at the Mackenzie Mall when  Beverly  decided to check  their ticket at the lottery retail kiosk.   The machine froze,  and the retailer  confirmed they were big winners.

Beverly shouted in shock for Victor to come see for himself.  “Without my glasses it was hard to see what was going on,” says Victor, “But, I trust Beverly completely because she’s usually right! This is very exciting for us!”

They plan to  use the money to  renovate their home, buy a new car and put the rest in the bank.

The winning ticket was purchased at MacKenzie Mall Lottery Ticket Centre in MacKenzie.

The Chingees are the second half million dollar winners in the region in the past  couple of months.
