Prince George, B.C. - The price of gas has slipped a further 3 cents a litre in Prince George.

Heading in to the weekend it had dipped to 142.9, today , the majors  have followed the mark set by Super Save Gas  on Victoria and lowered their pump price to 139.9

Still, at 139.9, the Canadian Cedntre for Policy Alternatives gas Gouge meter  suggests that's  still too much:

Your gas prices are 6.8¢ per litre above the normalized cost of $1.33 per litre in Prince George

With today's crude oil price of $130.28 USD per barrel and the US dollar at $1.00 CAD, the price of regular unleaded gasoline in Prince George should be $1.33 per litre at normal profit margins.

At a price of $1.40 per litre, you are paying 6.8¢ per litre in pure excess profit. Across Canada, an extra margin of 6.8¢ per litre generates an additional profit of 6.8 million dollars per day.

If it is in fact true that based on "normal" profit margins the price is too high, then what do the retailers have to say about that?
And if they ARE gouging by over 6 cents a litre, shouldn't this be the time our illustrious government steps in and tells them to knock it off??
I would think that is the least they could do,but then I also know that it is not going to happen!
They all sleep in the same bed!
Don't forget how the goverment is gouging us with taxes, and that B.S. carbon tax!!!!
oh I haven't forgotten that seamutt!
And like many people,I am not likely to forget it anytime soon!
We desperately need a conservative party in this province. The two choices we have are pathetic. They are both corrupt and have proven it many times. If we spoil our ballot we lose--if we vote--we lose! It's a lose, lose situation here. We should close this province and move to Alberta. Let the stinking rich have BC along with the homeless they are creating. Speaking of homeless--they should be billoted out for rehab to the loud-mouths who pretend to care about them so much. I don't care about them and I'm very peeved that some of my money is helping them because they don't care about themselves.
Sunday, the price of gas in Vanderhoof was 139.9.

Just off hand, does anyone know how much the O.P.A.C countries contribute to the UN or to aide for countries in poverty?

Yes, I would like to use our own fiber for heat. Even if it doesn't save the environment, it will reduce the amount we spend outside of Canada.
It went down a bit but always does before they raise to record prices. You'll see $1.50 soon. Just because they can.
Hey there guys and gals, it's old fortune teller here, and I foresee a gas price increase in the near future, let me concentrate here........should be right at the long week end coming up. Anything else you wish to hear?

We have a right wing conservative party in power in BC. They're called Liberals, but they're not liberals.
