Prince George, B.C. – There was along line up out side Exploration Place this morning, as parents, kids, grandparents and just plain hockey fans waited to get a chance to see and get an autograph from some NHL players.
( at right, most of the kids kept their eyes on the stage, waiting to hear from their hockey heroes)
In town for the Commonwealth Cup golf tournament and fund raiser, were several who are either in the NHL now, or who have been in the big league.
On the way in, the first 300 little people each got a juice box, a granola bar and a t-shirt which was suitable for signing.
Commonwealth Financial President Dan McLarren asked the capacity crowd “What’s our favourite sport in Prince George?” to which the children screamed “HOCKEY!”
Then it was a chance to hear from the likes of  Jason LeBarbera and Stew Malgunas.
