Never mind avian flu, the next “bug” to hit the nation is lottery fever!

With a jackpot of $40 million up for grabs tonight, expect line ups at the kiosks, and there is a potential for computer slowdowns as the ticket machines try to keep up with the demand.

This is the biggest jackpot in Canadian lottery history. If you are thinking about getting a ticket, here are a couple of points you might want to ponder.

According to the BC Lottery Corporation, the most frequently drawn numbers (and they’ve been keeping track since 1982) are:
27, 31, 34, 40, 43, and 47

On the other side of the coin (or in this case ticket) the numbers that have been drawn the LEAST since 1982 are:
11, 13, 15, 24, 28, and 48
