Skakun Also To Re-Ask Debt Questions

The debt report is out but it doesn't really spell it out.
Councilor Brian Skakun says he has a call in to the Finance Department of the City to get some "Hard numbers that clearly spell out the debt and credit limits".
Skakun says the Finance Department has to put this sort of thing into layman's terms so all taxpayers have a clear picture of what the City owes, and how much is left in the bank.
Skakun posed the question when Council was giving third reading to three borrowing bylaws which cleared the way for the city to borrow more than $27 million dollars. At the time, the City's Finance Department said it didn't know how much the City owed, but that it would report back to Council.
The report delivered today talks a great deal about the City's ability to borrow being based on it's ability to pay, but doesn't spell out just how much money the City "owes".
