Blast at Rustad Mill

Prince George, B.C. - Just before 2:00  this afternoon, Prince George Fire Rescue responded from 2 halls to a reported fire at Canfor’s Rustad Sawmill.
 
On arrival it was determined that an explosion had occurred in a large oil storage container near the company’s energy system.
 
Although, there was no fire, crews investigated as a precautionary measure.
 
There are no reported injuries. There is no damage estimate at this time.
