Valemount, B.C. - RCMP will use sonar today to try and locate an ultra light plane and its pilot  that crashed into Moose Lake on Monday.

Yesterday RCMP Dive Team members dove to a depth of 130 feet, but were unable to locate the aircraft or pilot. In addition, an underwater camera was used to assist with the search.

Monday , Valemount RCMP received a call that  a small Ultralight plane with one occupant crashed into Moose Lake in Mount Robson Provincial Park.

A passer by observed the air craft flying east bound approximately 200 feet above the water. For unknown reasons the aircraft suddenly went into a downward spiral, crashing into the lake approximately 200 meters from shore. Moments later the aircraft sank.

I hope this isnt a prank call.
If it sank with the wings reasonably intact,it could have slowly slid or glided off in any direction underwater.
Could be very hard to find.
The sonar is the best bet.
My thoughts too, Imorg. When I heard that they found nothing, I wondered if maybe it was a hoax. Come to think of it, if it is a hoax, then nobody died, and that's good.
