Prince George, B.C.- The Provincial Ministry of the Environment is keeping an eye on the air quality monitors in Prince George.

“We are waiting for the inversion to break to see what kind of numbers we have” says the MOE’s Steve Lamble.

This morning, the 24 hour average for PM 10 was 46 at the Plaza 400 Suites downtown, and 46 at the BCR Industrial site. The air quality rating changes from fair to poor, when those numbers hit 50.

And what can do we do about it!
Also I live on the Hart,so I don't have to worry about it.
Relax,it's the smell of money
Tonight it smells so bad that you can't sit outside or have any windows open....I guess this is when living on the Hart or Beaverly would have its advantages. I'm up in St. Lawrence Hghts and I really notice the air quality up here is getting worse. I don't think we can keep saying it's the smell of money...there are other cities in B.C. of comparable size to PG and they don't smell like this or have a thick haze. It's disgusting and I think the citizens of PG should really start demanding cleaner air!!
Come on Salsa that is not the smell of money. It's the smell of early death!
I hope this finally becomes a "serious" issue with the civic elections in november.

not as bad as China's cities (except during Olympics). Stop complaining!!!!
