Seniors complex moves closer to lock-up stage of construction
Prince George, B.C.- Ten months into the construction and the new seniors residential complex at Victoria and 20th Avenue is taking shape.
The $42 million dollar project is expected to be ready for occupancy next year.
Once complete, the facility will provide 93 new residential care beds for seniors who need a car 24/7. There will also be 80 seniors housing units, of which 50 will provide assisted living for seniors who can be mostly independent but need things like specialized housing, meals and health support.

That section is close to lock up stage. There are other sections where the basement is only finished. My guess is that the lock up stages will be in sections.
Wonder if the rents will be the same as the Chateau our American freinds built for profit on Tabor Blvd. Seems we dont have money to house our seniors but we have hords of money for pie in the sky ideas.

Cheers
this isa government project so the low income seniors will have reduced rent as in the case at the Simon Fraserlodge (yet this one will be alot better than the Simon Fraser by a long shot)
Anything is better than the Simon Fraser Lodge.
Shingles in place... Bad sense of humour for an old folks home headline. Boooo!
You guys are all wrong. If you read the story, the facilities are being built for seniors who need a car 24/7. That's why it was built across the street from a car dealership. But if all they needed was a car 24/7, why are they building such complex structures?
