Prince George, B.C. – The Air Quality Advisory has now been lifted.

Based on the air quality data in the downtown and College Heights areas, the high levels of both PM10 and finer particles (PM2.5) were due to a mix of dust (coarser particles), and combustion emissions (smoke).

The weakening of the high pressure ridge has allowed for more mixing to take place in the atmosphere resulting in better dispersal of air pollutants.

Speaking of air advisories, does anyone know what the latest news is with regards to the community energy system which was proposed for downtown Prince George a few months ago?
Most likely faded into the sunset. A no brainer from the get go, I suppose.
