Tourists Can Now Take Home A Piece Of P.G.

Prince George, B.C. – The Prince George Visitor Centre has an addition of a new Gift Shop.
 
 This new addition to the Visitor Centres will enhance the Visitors experience as they are now able to take a little piece of Prince George home with them.
 
The shop offers artwork from local artists, Pine Beetle artwork and brochures.
 
“We’re pleased to be able to provide full service experience to our visitors. We’re a one-stop shop for travel information, bookings, reservations and now souvenirs!” said Michalle Clarke, Manager of Tourism Prince George.
 
The addition of the Gift Shop was made possible through a $5,000.00 Special Projects grant from Tourism British Columbia. Tourism British Columbia makes Special Projects funding available to Visitor Centres for projects and services that will enhance the visitor experience and services at the Visitor Centre.
 
The Prince George Visitor Centre is one of 109 community-operated Visitor Centres across the province. The Visitor Centres are staffed by Visitor Information Counselors who offer guests a variety of personalized travel trips and encourage extended stays and travel in all regions of the province.
 
The main Prince George Visitor Centre is located at 1300 First Avenue inside the VIA Rail Station and is open from 8am to 8pm seven days a week!
 
Visitor Centres are community operated under the direction of Tourism British Columbia. Tourism British Columbia is a Crown corporation that operates under an industry-led board of directors and is responsible for marketing the Super, Natural British Columbia® brand to the world.

Instead of taking something away, maybe they can be encouraged to bring something to fill in a pothole or two. Ahhh, the memory.
