Outline of plan presented to  Council
Prince George, B.C.- Cedars Christian School has been granted a one year temporary permit to add another portable classroom to the school’s site.
The permit will bring to 5 the number of portables on the school property.
The temporary rezone would lapse at the same time as the permits issued for the other four portables, and that is August of next year.
By approving the temporary permit, construction of the portable can get underway and it will be ready for the start of the new school year.
There is also a rezoning application underway for the property and that calls  for a  traffic impact study to be done. Speaking on behalf of the applicant, Bob Hillhouse told Council a traffic impact study cannot be done until the school year gets underway.

Amazing! Public schools are warehousing kids in massive population centers, in areas that offer lots of distractions downtown, and closing schools that were like the very popular setting of the CCS.

A school where kids come first is adding spaces for more kids.

The public system has to put kids last and fight to keep to costs down. The BCTF is always trying to hold the kids for ransom, and that is a costly and expensive battle. I remember a few years back where the BCTF union did not want places like the CCS to get any public money, in an attempt to get those kids into union schools.
I started to list off the pros of private schools, but it got very, very lengthy. I have experienced both - public and private - and the difference is astounding. Obviously others have noticed if they have to make more room for more kids.
