Prince George, B.C. -The Master Plan for Parks and  Open space has been received by Prince George City Council, but the overall inventory of green space will change.

The plan, as presented,  did not take into account the private golf courses, but Councilor Don Zurowski says those spaces are being used, and the deficit of green space may in fact be met by such space. He also asked that there be more “on site” green space as the population grows older, there is a need to have green space on site of places such as the campus of care being built at the corner of 20th and Victoria.

The rest of Council agrees and the plan will be revised to include the privately owned golf courses.

The public still has an opportunity to comment on the plan, as public comments will be accepted until the end of this week.
The final plan will be brought to Council for approval and adoption on August 25th.

What that is retarded. A privately owned golf course is not park space unless of course they allow everyone to golf there for free. Park space is free space where the public can get away from the rat race of life. It is a disservice to society to assume that private exclusive clubs should be included when determining the level of park space in the city. They just don't get it at city council IMO.
Why don't we include everyone that has a nice backyard in our city park space as well... seems logic to the cities thinking....
Ok, I have seen this a number of times...what is IMO...I had to ask, I am VERY curious!
In My Opinion... therefor not actual legal fact just an observed opinion.
