Prince George, B.C. – The Government of Canada, announced a $195,307 investment for Initiatives Prince George Development Corporation (IPG) to further enhance export and investment opportunities and Prince George’s position as a part of Western Canada’s Asia Pacific Gateway and Northern Corridor today.

Global Prince George will be the new name for Export North to send the message that Prince George is not just about exporting. The three year project will deliver trade and investment services to area businesses and organizations through activities such as seminars, trade missions, investment tours, creation of investment information for international audiences, participation in international level trade shows and conferences and the development of community partnerships.

MP, Jay Hill says this is great news to further enhance Prince George, “This further cements the reality that Prince George is in a unique position in the gateway of the Pacific Rim.”

Tim McEwan, President and CEO of Initiatives Prince George says the money will allow Prince George the opportunity to grow in the global market. “With the number of advancements that have occurred in Prince George recently such as the airport runway extension, the airport logistics park and CN Intermodal, we now have the opportunity to really develop an aggressive marketing package that will raise the profile of Prince George.”

The funds are made available through Western Economic Diversification.

The only thing right now raising our profile are gangsters in this town trying to kill each other. Stick each and everyone of them into an intermodel container and ship them out.
Ship them halfway out
I doubt people in the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Luxembourg, etc give a hoot about Prince George going global. Lol. It's funny.
I hate spending money on advertizing, but it is a necessary evil. Money well spent in this case.
