Search for Missing Swimmer Continues

Fort St. John - The Fort St. John RCMP, RCMP Dive Team and The North Peace Search and Rescue Team continue search efforts to locate Clayton Russ, a 22 year old Fort St. John resident who was swept away by the Pine River current while swimming with friend's on Friday August 15, 2008 .

Using a Sonar scanner, and underwater search capabilities, the RCMP Dive Team began their search of the Pine River on Sunday August 17. 

The RCMP Dive Team, the Fort St. John RCMP and The North Peace Search and Rescue Team resumed their search  this morning, making it the fourth day of the search. 

Today, the Pine River access will once again be closed to boat and beach traffic to allow search efforts to continue. The Fort St. John RCMP apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause.
