Williams Lake, B.C. - Lightning in the Cariboo Fire Centre has ignited 37 new fires since Monday.

The fires are less than one hectare in size, and many have been extinguished. The remaining blazes are currently being actioned by crews, or are in final patrol stages. These fires are not threatening any structures or communities.

While the Cariboo region has received a significant amount of precipitation in many areas, there are still drier areas which remain in a moderate to high fire danger rating.
