Public Hearing At Council Tonight

There will be a public hearing at Prince George Council this evening to deal with a rezoning application for a piece of land on Prudente Road in College Heights.

The entire parcel is 2.91 hectares of vacant treed land, but the application is for .27 hectares (a little over 2/3rds of an acre) of that parcel.

It calls for the land to be zoned to allow for sale to the neighbouring Sikh Society’s place of worship for a parking lot and playground. 

There are a few letters of concern from neighoring property owners, but City Staff  are recommending  approval.  Staff believe the application is in keeping with the Official Community Plan, and  they have attached some strict landscaping requirements to the project.
