Cougars Sign Draft Pick

Prince George, B.C. – The Prince George Cougars have signed their third selection, 69th overall (4th round) in the 2008 WHL Bantam Draft, Defenceman Shane Pilling from Lethbridge, Alberta.
 
The 15-year old Pilling is 5’8”and 145 pounds. He spent the 2007-2008 season with the Lethbridge Val Matteotti Golden Hawks of the AMBHL.
 
Pilling posted 6 goals and 14 assists for 20 points in 33 games for the Golden Hawks. He also added 6 points in 5 playoff games.
 
Prince George Cougars General Manager Dallas Thompson says, “Pilling is a great skating defenceman who may have been one of the most mobile defenceman available in the 2008 Draft. Shane will be a great addition to the Cougars and a big part of our success down the road.”
 
Shane will play midget hockey in Alberta during the 2008-2009 season.
