Highway 16 West Closed West of Fraser Lake

Prince George, B.C.-  RCMP have closed Highway 16 west of Fraser Lake because of a fatal  crash.

Vanderhoof Traffic Services and the Fraser Lake RCMP are currently investigating a two-vehicle  collision on Highway #16 at Stella Road, west of Fraser Lake. Highway #16 has been closed to all traffic, at this time, to permit investigators to examine and document the physical evidence on the roadway.

An alternate detour route is available to traffic through Endako and Francois Lake. Motorists should be aware that the detour will extend their travel time. The highway was closed at 1245 hrs, when the collision occurred and will remain closed for an indeterminate period.

Police say the investigation is  too early to relay any further details.
