Quesnel, B.C.-  Quesnel three term Councillor Mary Sjostrom is going to take a shot at the Quesnel Mayor’s Chair.

“I have received enthusiastic encouragement from family, friends, community groups, business leaders, and residents in our community.” says Sjostrom. “It was not a difficult decision to make with so much support from so many people and it would be a privilege to serve the people of Quesnel as Mayor.”

She wants to put more emphasis on infrastructure and basic services such as water, sewer and roads, while continuing to look for opportunities to diversify Quesnel’s economy

Should see if that woman wants to run for mayor in PG! Common sense plan.
Candidates will say a lot of things when they are campaigning of course. :) That being said, Mary is a solid politician. PG would do well to have either her or Nate Bello as options.
opportunities to diversify Quesnel’s economy.

When will these people learn that in a free enterprise system the economy must deversify itself. When government starts to manipulate the economy it will be skewed. Tax payer dollars will be spent on trips to china, given to Horizon Airlines and bingo halls.

Consequently the infrastructure suffers we end up with pot holes and leaky water lines. All the illnesses that The City of Prince George is suffering from.

Cheers
Quesnel will do well with Mary Sjostrom as Mayor. Prince George can have Nate Bello, but if I was in P.G. I would not want him.
Well I personally think Nate does a fine job and is a stronger voice for business than Mary. But again, I think we are lucky here in Quesnel to have to choose between two viable candidates.
Hahaha, that's funny, Qtown!
Bello is a super left winger, he's NO strong voice for business. He's in favour of spending, spending and spending, and raising taxes, raising taxes. Fcol.
I might add that I would not trust Sjostrom either.
Hopefully Ron Paul will take a run at it.
That's really strange. China's government manipulates their economy like crazy, and it seems to be working out for them.

Are YOU in small/large business in Quesnel HD? I know well many of the influential business people locally support Nate and his policies. I'm not going to name-drop, but I think it's up to the business people to decide that point.
Bello's record speaks for itself.
He's an active NDP'er.
NDP and bussiness don't go along very well.
