Two P.G. Arts Organizations Get 2010 Legacies Funding

Prince George, B.C.- Two Prince George arts organizations are getting $30,000 from the 2010 Legacies Now fund.
The Prince George Regional Art Gallery Association (Two Rivers Gallery) and Prince George Symphony Orchestra will each receive $15,000.
“The Catalyst program supports organizations in their business and artistic development,” said Lori Baxter, Director of Arts for 2010 Legacies Now. “We are pleased that contributions from this round of funding will be used for long-term strategic planning and renewed programs for marketing, audience development and artistic projects.”
his year, 26 organizations in 11 B.C. communities – Creston, Madeira Park, Nelson, North Vancouver, Pender Island, Penticton, Prince George, Sooke, Vancouver, Victoria and Whistler - will share more than $175,000 in Catalyst funds. Today’s announcement brings 2010 Legacies Now’s overall investment in B.C.-based arts organizations through the Catalyst program to more than $1.5 million since 2005.
