Prince George, B.C.- The price of gas has dropped another 2 cents a litre in Prince George, settling at 136.9 a litre.

Meantime, oil prices closed the day in the United States down  68 cents to $102.58 a barrel. That’s the lowest closing price since April 1.

According to the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives, the price is still too high, that it is 16.9 cents  above the normalized price of $1.20 litre in Prince George.

only at certain gas stations!! I was out at lunch today and there was a few different prices out there!!

oh well at least it is a little bit better!!
It will never be better until it drops to 35 cents a liter.
Remember when it hit $1.20 per liter?
We all screamed.
It seems to me that the oil companies have a lot more money and a lot more patience to fight the psychological warfare of price at the pump than the customers do. Like most peoples paydays its from fill up to fill up because we need the precious fuel to carry on with our daily lives.

We can't expect the government to mitigate prices at the pump through legislation or the lowering of 'road tax' on fuels, as it is a winfall for them everytime the price goes up.

Only those with investment in the 'oil patch' and the governments profit by higher prices. I say we turn off the tap at the borders and preserve what we do have for our own citizens. The oil companies customers are being financially strangled by the artificial high prices.

Like all observers say, "The price at the pump goes up immediately as the price per barrel of raw crude goes up. But, the blue eyed arabs sure drag their feet when the price is going down.

Collusion? Conspiracy? Of course not! Without telephones being tapped and any other means of communication; evidence can not be forthcoming. But, all the gas stations continue to march their prices upwards together in time and step
Diesel should be cheaper than Gas.

Gas should be no more than a dollar a litre. and Diesel being 95% the cost of gas. When ever it is more than a dollar a liter, all it is doing is robbing our economy from any growth.
Does not take long for the gas stations to raise the price of gas per litre when the price/barrel rises. Wish they would reduce it that fast. They try to tell us that it is not their fault but the proof is slapping us in the face when they leave it so high. The price/barrel has dropped but the gas stations like the price they are getting so they only lower it pennies if any at all. They try to tell us that they have to refill their holding tanks and they have not run dry since the barrel prices have lowered. One lie after another in order to screw the consumer further. I feel that we will never see this change do to the greedy money pigs at all levels of the gas trade
Big Deal! The barrel is down big time but prices do not drop to reflect the price of the barrel in B.C. or Canada. The big news in the U.S. is that prices are dropping all over the country! But not here in Prince George, B.C. or the rest of Canada. Governments in B.C. and Canada are raking in the taxes and could give two s***'s about the the price of fuel. We are being robbed big time here in Pr Geo and most other places in B.C. CAMPBELL NEEDS HIS MONEY FOR THE OLYMPICS!!!!!!!
Yes, the price in USD has been dropping. However, the CAD relative to the USD has been dropping over the same period. Thus, the price in CAD hasn't changed as much as it would first appear.
I see the big two on the bypass are keeping the prices up...wonder if they are hoping to cash in on the senors who are here this week?
Let's not get too excited...this IS temporary.
Winter is coming and the price WILL climb back to where it was!
And sooner than later.
Start filling up those 5 gallon jerry cans!
Take a look at the volume on the stockmarket... they are not buying because they think it will go down!
The positioning has already started.
But other cities in this country enjoy the lower prices for a while,by the time it comes down here in price, its already on the rise once again.
Actually it just went up 11 cents a liter....2008 Sept 12....after dropping 2 cents yesterday....talk about a gouge jog....
