Prince George -Two 19 year old females and three males aged 29,29 and 28 are in custody after the RCMP ERT Team raided a home in the 2300 blk. of Webber Cres. today seizing three handguns.

Two of the hand guns were semi automatics. It is not known whether any of the guns had been registered. Due to the high risk, the ERT was called in along with the City’s plain clothes GIS Detachment.

This sounds like a success story at first glance, but why didn't the cops leave with any drugs? Surely their intent wasn't to take five people into custody for having 3 (possibly) illegal firearms in the house. Hopefully after further inspection the RCMP find what they were looking for.
Clearly these people must have been doing something with these firearms that alerted the police or a tipster to them. I doubt they were raided just for having these weapons in a neat and tidy storage cabinet.
That's my point, what was going on at this house that the police were unsuccessful in carrying out?
So are the new penalties for guns gonna be used? Or was that stuck in Parliament waiting for another term of government to try and shuffle through without any opposition. Maybe get tough on crime doesn't interest and other party 'cept the Conservative Party. Well?
should read "any other party". Faulty keyboard, I guess.
rambleon - where is there a mention of drugs in that article? Yes - something alerted the policed in order to raid the house, but it didn't have to be drugs. Read again! Carefully this time!
Mommy, oh mommy, you have missed the point, or you are one of them!!

Guns, drugs, murder, and violent assaults. do you see any connection to all of the aforementioned illegal activity's??? Anything at all???

No hey!! I would say that you have your head in the sand!! Get it out, and pay attention, our city is out of control with crime!! Do not, I repeat, do not make excuses for these thugs!

Mommy, don't become the enabler!! Quit making excuses for really bad behaviour!!

Have a great weekend everyone!!

All that has been reported here is a gun story with no other information about whats what. Obviously an attempt by someone to get a message out to the public that guns are very bad.
No mention of drugs, people that are known to police, gangbangers, illegal weapons smugglers or anything useful for the public reading this story to make any conclusions from the information provided to us in this story.

Guns don't kill people, people kill people.

Fear those that fear your guns.
I love the comment: Fear those that fear your guns. Any hunter would agree with that one while in the bush. Maybe the police found the guns because they were registered as required?
I'm a hunter and agree with it anywhere I am. Whats being in the bush got to do with it?
Why would the guns be found just because they were registered?
Do registered guns call out to the police saying HEY OVER HERE I AM A REGISTERED GUN?
