Prince George, B.C. – The name of the victim who died in the four vehicle collision yesterday on Highway 16 near Bob Tail Road and Bednesti has been released.

The other vehicles were travelling from Sorrento, Masset and Quesnel.

Four others sustained injuries, two of which were in the pick up truck and were transported to PGRH with serious non life threatening injuries. The other two drivers were treated for minor injuries and released.

Highway 16 was closed for approximately six hours in both directions while RCMP finished the investigation.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation and Police continue to speak with witnesses.
Speed and alcohol are not believed the be the cause of the collision.

how many peolpe have died in the last year on hiway 16 between Cluculz and Prince George? I count 10. This has got to be some kind record for a 30 mile stretch of road.
Could the sun have been a factor? Visibility?
